Holland America Line is the latest cruise ship operator that will begin journeys in Greek waters this summer, beginning from Piraeus, and using the vessel Eurodam.
Reservations have reportedly already begun, with the inaugural cruise set for Aug. 15, and with the itinerary including a stop in Montenegro, as well as the Greek isles Corfu, Santorini and Mykonos.
Another Holland America cruise, entitled “Ancient Wonders”, begins on Aug. 22, and will journey as far away as Haifa, Israel, while taking in Nafplio, Mykonos and Rhodes in Greek waters.
Finally, the “Adriatic Charm” cruise departs on Sept. 5 from Piraeus and reaches Venice, with stops to Mykonos, Hania, the harbor closest to ancient Olympia and even Sarande in coastal southwest Albania.
“We’d like to welcome the vessels of Holland America Line, we’re proud to work together to welcome the cruise sector this summer,” Greek tourism minister Haris Theoharis said.
