Specifically, in terms of home ports, AIDA has chosen the international holiday island destination of Corfu, in the Ionian Sea; Norwegian Cruise Line will operate from Piraeus, Katakolo – near ancient Olympia on the southwest Greek mainland – and Corfu; Celestyal Cruises, from Piraeus and the near-Athens harbor of Lavrion; Tui Cruises from Irakleio (Heraklion) Crete; Silversea Cruises, with four vessels from Piraeus; Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean’s subsidiary, from Piraeus; Holland America Line from Piraeus, and MSC Cruises, also from Piraeus.
