The relevant public works and infrastructure minister on Monday presented the Cabinet with a plan to create a “Strategic Projects Pipeline” aimed to facilitate and accelerate tenders and the process for awarding major state-affiliated infrastructure projects.
Minister Costas A. Karamanlis presented the plan during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The initiative comes ahead of what’s expected to be a massive – by 21st century standards – surge in projects and works funded by the EU’s Covid-19 recovery fund, National Strategic Reference Framework financing and national coffers.
