There are 64,000 tourists who arrived in the South Aegean islands in May on charter flights.

Specifically, as announced by the South Aegean region, 520 flights reached the islands of Dodecanese and Cyclades carrying 64,000 visitors through the international airports of Mykonos, Santorini, Kos, and Rhodes, ensuring a continuous flow in the tourist flow for the first days of this tourist season.

Rhodes on the three Saturdays of May on the 15th, 22nd, and 29th of the month, welcomed 2,326, 3,727, and 3,980 visitors respectively, confirming the gradual upward trend of passenger traffic, which is recorded at all four airports in the South Aegean.

Kos, where the respective arrivals on the 3 above dates were 1,704 to 3,298, and 3,720 passengers for the last Saturday of May.

More specifically, according to the official data of Fraport (for the airports of Rhodes, Kos, Santorini, and Mykonos), May closes as follows, ensuring a good start for the destinations:

Rhodes: 30,348 arrivals on 241 flights

Kos: 15,918 arrivals on 121 flights

Mykonos: 6,639 arrivals on 68 flights

Santorini: 10,856 arrivals on 97 flights

It is noted that the above data do not include the passengers who travel through the international airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” with domestic flights, but also the passengers who travel through the ferry network.
