The special manager of the company clarified the tender for the sale of the assets of Hellenic Shipyards SA (HSSA) in Skaramangas.
As stated by the Special Management HSSA regarding the already announced tender of the yard as a single functional set of assets, recognizing its strategic importance for its further operational utilization, it made clarifications on the critical issues of general interest to the economic community, that:
– Has fully prepared and secured the next day of operation of the yard as required by the duties of the special manager and for the benefit of the national economy.
– Updated its operating license, reflecting the modern form of the shipyard facilities after the successive tenders and other reorganizations that took place in previous years in the yard.
– Maintain in force the Decision of Approval of Environmental Conditions, which lasts for at least another three years.
– The whole plot is single and privately owned, as are the facilities. There are no concessions other than the concession of the use of the seafront and the forward sea area, which is owned by the State and therefore there is a relevant, legally guaranteed, long-term lease.
– The existing infrastructure of the shipyard is fully utilized in the whole repair and maintenance of the submarines and surface ships of our Navy.
– The fire safety and fire protection studies have already been approved by the competent services, so that the relevant certificate can be issued, based on the received approvals, immediately after the transfer of the yard, for the convenience of the potential investors.
– The settlement of all arbitrary constructs has been completed, with only the obligation of the investor to pay the corresponding settlement amount, as provided by relevant legislation.
The Special Management estimates that the contribution of all the actors of the State, from the assumption of its duties until today, was decisive in order to implement the work of the final arrangements and to transfer the assets “cleanly” and from institutional issues.
