Greek civil protection authorities on Thursday again warned that the largest percentage of new instances of Covid-19 virus detected in the country emanate from entertainment venues, especially bars and clubs.
Civil Protection Deputy Minister Nikos Hardalis made the statement while briefing reporters, as new single-day instance of the virus detected over the past 24 hours exceeded 1,800, even as related fatality remained low, 10 on the day, and ICU cases continued to drop towards double digits.
He also reminded that as of Thursday, eateries, cafes, bars and nightclubs may only host and serve seated patrons, and with distancing protocols and specific seating capacity in place.
In terms of travel to the islands by vessel or airplane, adults must show a vaccination certification or proof of previously contracting the virus, or, a negative PCR tests within the past three days; two days for a rapid test.
For young people between 12 and 17, any negative result, including from a self-test, is accepted, while minors under the age of 12 have no legal obligation when traveling.
Digital Covid-19 vaccination certificates issued on the EU platform or from third countries are also accepted.
