As of tomorrow, Thursday, July 15, 2021, the controls for boarding the ships will be undertaken by the officers of the Coast Guard, according to an announcement of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.
This decision was taken during today’s meeting with the leadership of the Coast Guard. According to a relevant announcement, this decision ensures the completeness of the controls and consequently the maximum possible protection of the health of the passengers, which is a constant priority of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.
The Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Mr. Giannis Plakiotakis after the end of the meeting stated the following:
“I ask for the cooperation of all those who are going to travel by ship. I plead with them to have with them the necessary documents, meticulously observe the protection measures, follow the instructions of the women and men of the Coast Guard.
Also, for their convenience, to be at the port at least one and a half hours before the scheduled time of departure of the ship.
With vaccination, observance of measures and responsibility, we can enjoy a healthy summer this year “.
