Greece’s privatization agency, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund S.A. (HRADF), on Friday announced that its board of directors has requested an improved offer for the concession for the Egnatia Odos motorway.
The specific tollway runs across the breadth of northern Greece, from the Greek-Turkish border to the extreme northwest Ionian port city of Igoumenitsa in the west.
The concession refers to a contract for the operation, maintenance, and exploitation of the motorway and three vertical road axes for a period of 35 years.
Previous attempts to float a concession for the highway via an international tender have proved fruitless.
