A rise in the number of Delta variant instances of Covid-19 in Greece has been recorded over the recent period. Specifically, between June 17 and July 17, 2021, 466 such instances were cited.
In terms of all the new variants of the coronavirus, the so-called “British” strain (Αlpha ή Β.1.1.7 remains the mostly widely detected, reaching nearly 15,000 cases in Greece.
The variant B.1.1.318 has been detected 3,396 times.
Finally, the Delta variant comes in third, with 868 cases detected in Greece, the latter of which, however, has caused the most concern among public health and civil defense authorities.
