The fire in Ancient Olympia is raging, resulting in a decision to evacuate two settlements. More specifically, the Fire Brigade gave an order for the preventive evacuation of the community of Pournari, of the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, which is located near the community of Iraklia, which was evacuated earlier, due to the fire that continues to burn in the area.
As was reported by the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency, the deputy governor of Ilia, Vassilis Giannopoulos, according to information from the Fire Brigade, “the fire has dynamics”.
The fire in Kafkanies was put under control
Regarding the fire that broke out earlier in the area of Kafkanies, of the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, the deputy governor told AMNA that, according to the Fire Department, “the fire has been limited”.
It should be noted that at this time, the Fire Brigade is fighting a big battle in Evia, as the fire there is out of control and the Authorities have ordered the immediate evacuation of settlements, while a message has been sent from 112.
