
The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a telephone conversation today with his counterpart from the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, whom he thanked for the availability of the Beriev Be-200 aircraft which contributed and contributes substantially to the fight against fires, while they also discussed the possibility of the provision of additional fiire fighting means from Russia.
For his part, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation expressed his support for Greece on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and reiterated the invitation for Kyriakos Mitsotakis to visit Russia. The Prime Minister accepted the invitation and is expected to visit Moscow before the end of the year.
Cooperation in the fight against coronavirus was also one of the issues addressed by the two prime ministers, as well as the increase in flights between Greece and Russia during the summer, following the telephone conversation they had on May 5th.
Finally, Messrs. Mitsotakis and Mishustin also referred to the stimulation of trade relations between the two countries, which is already yielding significant and measurable results.
