The Bank of Greece, in the context of its social responsibility, decided to allocate an amount of 5,000,000 euros as a contribution to the work of repairing the damage and strengthening the victims of the recent fires.
The General Council of the Bank of Greece, which met extraordinary due to the urgency in a special composition on Thursday 12 August 2021 at the invitation of its President and Governor of the Bank of Greece Giannis Stournaras, after expressing his deep sorrow for the great economic and ecological disaster caused by the recent fires, decided to allocate an amount of 5,000,000 euros as a contribution of the Bank to the work of repairing the damage and strengthening the victims.
This amount will be deposited in the special account of the Ministry of Finance established in the Bank of Greece entitled “State Aid Account – Individual Contributions” of Law 4797/2021 (A ’66) and IBAN: GR 9501000230000002341227461, with the aim of supporting and of fire-affected areas.
