A large part of the shipbuilding program of the Maran Tankers of the Angelikoussi Group was completed with the receipt on August 13, 2021, of the super tanker (VLCC) “Maran Antiope” from the Korean shipyard DSME. It was the last of 19 energy efficient Eco VLCCs delivered to the Greek shipping company from 2016 to 2021.
The company’s investment program continues with the delivery from 2023 of four dual fuel Very Large Crude Carriers to its fleet.
The Maran Tankers fleet consists of 53 ships and four under construction (57 in total), with a total tonnage of 15,613,503dwt and an average age of 7.8 years. 49 of them carry the Greek flag.
Maran Tankers Management is a member of the Angelikoussi Group led by Maria Angelikoussi and also includes Maran Dry Management with a fleet of 50 bulk carriers, of which 44 carry the Greek flag, and Maran Gas with a fleet of 48 liquefied natural gas transport vessels, 45 of which fly the Greek flag. Of the 48, ten are under construction.
In total, the group controls a fleet of 155 ships, of which 138 have the Greek flag raised.
