The relocation of Diana Wilhelmsen Management Limited (DWM) from Cyprus to Athens, announced the Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM).
Wilhelmsen Ship Management, a company of the Wilhelmsen group, is one of the largest ship management companies in the world with a portfolio of over 450 ships and 9,200 seafarers.
DWM was founded in 2015 as a 50-50% joint venture with Diana Shipping Inc. The object of the company is the provision of technical management services to shipowners with emphasis on dry cargo ships and container transport.
The move is part of WSM’s growth strategy, looking forward to expanding its fleet to provide management services to shipowners.
Mr. Carl Schou, CEO and President of WSM comments: “We have seen a significant increase in demand for ship management services in the Greek market. Our new strategic headquarters will offer a competitive advantage and will allow us to strengthen relationships with existing and future customers. ”
WSM has already built a strong customer base in the Greek market in terms of ship inspection services and seeks to expand its customer base through the further provision of competitive management services.
