French DM Florence Parly on Sunday took to her official Twitter account to praise a decision by Athens to purchase another six Dassault-made Rafale warplanes – to be added to 18 similar fourth generation planes already secured.
Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced the additional acquisition of the French fighter planes on Saturday evening, speaking at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF). He said the first Rafales with Greek colors will be activated by the end of the year.
Parly referred to “…Excellent news: Greece has just announced its intention to acquire six additional Rafale. Together, we are moving forward to build genuine European autonomy.”
