The Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport, Giannis Xifaras, spoke about the Mass transit bus fleet in Thessaloniki.
Speaking at the stand of OT.gr, Mr. Xifaras stressed that today there are 470 buses in Thessaloniki and with the additional introduction of the new 80 buses in early October they will reach 530, while he stressed that there is cooperation with inter-city bus services and leasing buses circulating in Thessaloniki.
Regarding the itineraries, he stressed that they are not the same all the days and hours of the week.
He stressed that “we are working on three pillars” for the railway. Its development and in its reorganization and maintenance and the third has to do with the regulations that must be imposed on the market in order for the railway to be competitive.
In the context of infrastructure, ERGOSE (which handles the infrastructure) has an investment package of 4 billion euros for new projects, in maintenance OSE has prepared a proposal for the redevelopment and maintenance of the railroad network.
