A bevy of new projects, valued at more than two billion euros, comprises the portfolio of “mature contracts” of a new unit of Greece’s privatization agency (HRADF).

According to HRADF Executive Director Panagiotis Stamboulidis, the new unit for mature strategic projects aims to rapidly overcome obstacles and “red tape” that often plague public works in Greece, by employing a mechanism of constant and responsible oversight, coordination and ensuring effectiveness.

Officially called the “Project Preparation Facility (PPF), the unit will assume mature major projects, i.e. ones with a budget exceeding 30 million euros, as well as projects included in the national recovery program “Greece2.0”.
The scope of the unit’s responsibly includes required studies and licenses, as well as the declaration of tenders and their oversight.
