Economy and high prices, pandemic and health are by far the two most important issues that concern citizens according to the Metron Analysis poll published in Sunday’s Step.
Dendias and Pierrakakis first in positive evaluations
In fact, these two questions each account for 30% of the answers, ie 60% of the respondents consider as the most important problem either high prices and the economy or the pandemic and medical care. All other queries follow with very low percentages (single digits). Only 6% consider foreign policy to be the most important problem.
In this context, which evaluates the work of the government and the official opposition, the Prime Minister and the President of SYRIZA, it is interesting that in the evaluation of the ministers the first two positions with the most positive opinions from the citizens are occupied by Nikos Dendias and Kyriakos Pierrakakis, two ministers who are not related to the two main problems that concern citizens.
Nikos Dendias’s area of responsibility is foreign policy and its peak is Greek-Turkish relations, which is the most important issue that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has to manage, while Mr. Pierrakakis is related to the digitalization of the state and the economy.
In fact, the digitization of the state is the only sector where the evaluations of the performance of the government and the prime minister by the citizens are not negative. The digital transformation is positively evaluated by citizens with 67%.
Nikos Dendias appears first in the evaluation of the ministers with the spontaneous positive answers reaching 19%. Second is Kyriakos Pierrakakis with 14% positive evaluations, followed by Vassilis Kikilias, Adonis Georgiadis, Christos Staikouras, Nikos Hardalias and others with less than 10%.
It is noted that the findings do not include the evaluation and impact of the Greek-French defense cooperation agreement, which was announced on the last day of polling.
