An attack on members of the Communist Party Youth Organization KNE who were demonstrating in Eleftherias Square in Ilioupolis, Thessaloniki, took place a while ago by a group of about 10 to 15 extreme right-wingers.
According to eyewitnesses – according to Thessaloniki websites (thestival and grtimes) – the far right-wingers used thick chains and even tasers, injuring at least three people before disappearing into the surrounding straits.
Police forces rushed to the spot looking for the perpetrators.
This attack of the extreme right follows the attacks focusing on the EPAL of Stavroupolis and the attacks carried out by the extreme right on anti-fascists, leftist organizations, students, and trade unionists in the region.
