
Greek public health authorities on Monday announced 2,125 new single-day confirmed instances of Covid-19 infections, with five of these detected at entry points on the country’s borders.
A total of 663,433 infections have been recorded in the country since the pandemic began.
Additionally, another 36 related fatalities were recorded over the last 24 hours, with the death toll in the country now standing at 14,956. Of the victims, 95.4 percent had an underlying health condition or were above the age of 70. The median age of the victims remained fixed at 78.
Moreover, 342 patients remained intubated in hospital ICUs. The average age of this group is 66 years, with 80.1 suffering from an underlying condition or being above the age of 70. In this group, 304 patients (88.89 percent) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 38 (11.11 percent) are fully vaccinated.
