
The Vice President of the European Commission for Promoting the European Way of Life, Mr. Margaritis Schinas, is visiting Greece today, Thursday, October 7, until Sunday, October 10.
On Thursday, October 7, at 12:00, Mr. Schinas will be received by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou, and, at 17:00, he will meet the Greek Prime Minister, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, at the Maximos Mansion.
At 18:30, the Vice President of the European Commission will talk with the Citizens for the Future of Europe, participating a dialogue organized by the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) on the occasion of the inauguration of the Citizens Information Center (Europe Direct) at the City Hall of Haidari.
On Friday, October 8, he will meet the Executive Committee of Medicines for Europe and, later on, he will open the Annual Conference co-organized by the Panhellenic Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry, Medicines for Europe and the International Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association, concerning the access to health entitled “Goal 2030: Access for all – Generating a healthy medicines strategy for the next decade”. Afterwards, Mr. Schinas will visit the drug production facilities and the research and innovation centers in the field of medicine and health in the region of Attica.
On Saturday, October 9, Mr. Schinas will go to Thessaloniki, where he will preface a book on the recent history of Thessaloniki, including the period of persecution of the Jewish community. On Sunday, October 10, he will meet with the board of directors of the Israeli Community of Thessaloniki, while at 12:00 he will visit the Jewish Museum.
