Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Monday received the new Speaker of Cyprus’ House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, at his Maximos Mansion office in central Athens.
As expected, the two leaders discussed the latest developments regarding the long-standing Cyprus issue as well as official Turkey’s most recent provocations and belligerence on both the divided island republic and the wider east Mediterranean.
“I want to assure you, yet again, that Greece and Cyprus remain fully coordinated in order to respond, in a manner that is methodical, organized and always compatible with international law, to the provocations we face in the eastern Mediterranean,” Mitsotakis said.
