The new Greek scientific study on vaccination in our country, which he headed, was presented by Professor Sotiris Tsiodras.

“It is very important for our country to have its own data on the effectiveness of vaccination and some comments on the benefits that vaccinated people have,” said Mr. Tsiodras, emphasizing that the study shows that as vaccination coverage increases, more cases occur among the vaccinated. However, this does not mean that the vaccine is not effective and that the impression is wrong.

8,400 deaths if we did not have the vaccine

Vaccines reduce the risk for young and old. The biggest benefit is to the elderly. Based on the data, it is estimated that with the vaccination in our country we have avoided about 8,400 deaths, but also 5,560 hospitalizations in the ICU.
