As of Monday morning, the red light has been lifted in the British “traffic light” system for all the countries of the world and any resumption of it will concern only possible mutations and not the number of cases.
This information was provided by the British Minister of Transport Robert Courts to the Greek Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikilias during the meeting of the two men on the sidelines of the WTM International Tourism Fair.
Mr. Kikilias raised the issue of facilitating the movement of citizens between the two States, which concerns both British visitors to Greece and Greek professionals and students in the United Kingdom. He also raised the issue of adapting health protocols for entry into the UK, with regard to requirements for vaccinated citizens and patients who have already received a vaccine dose.
In addition, the issue of cruising, which is a basic choice of British travelers, was discussed.
Mr. Kikilias informed the British Minister about the lifting of restrictions from Greece on Turkish ports in Kusadasi and Istanbul, as these ports meet European protocols and conditions and with the aim of facilitating the cruise industry, as well as issues raised by British tour operators to the Greek minister.
