Ride-sharing service provider Uber on Monday announced a whopping 40-percent increase in the number of users employing its application in Greece this year, and compared to 2019 and not pandemic-plagued 2020.
Visitors from the United States, UK and France topped the list of users employing the ride-sharing Uber app while in Greece.
Without giving precise number, the San Francisco-based company merely said the number of foreign tourists using its app from Greece over the past summer was 1.4 times greater than in 2019.
The multinational also claimed that two out of 10 tourists in the greater Athens area who at one point used its mobility app were from the US; UK holiday-makers topped the list for Thessaloniki.
Citizens from German, the UAE, Poland, Ukraine, Romania, the Netherlands and Portugal were in the “top 10” among users employing the Uber app while in Greece in 2021.
