
The undertaking by Piraeus Bank of an information campaign in order to utilize and finance the LEADER and RDP (Rural Development Program) schemes in Northern Evia was at the center of the working meeting held on Monday, November 15 by the Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Simos Kedikoglou, with Bank executives.
The meeting with the Deputy Minister for Agricultural Development was attended by Messrs. Alkiviadis Alexandrou, General Manager of Agricultural Banking of Piraeus Bank and Giannis Haniotakis, senior Director, Development of Agricultural Sector, Piraeus Bank.
In particular, the actions of Piraeus Bank for North Evia are the following:
• Meeting with victims in Istiaia
• Establishment of support offices affected by the devastating fires
• Meeting of the Scholars with the local community of North Evia in Limni and Istiaia.
Preferential support measures for those affected by funding related to:
Working capital for the fodder market
Financing the purchase of cattle & livestock
Financing the purchase of hives by affected beekeepers
Financing for the purchase of agricultural equipment, stable facilities, poultry facilities, agritourism facilities, etc.
Financing farmers for the installation or repair of modern irrigation and water saving systems, optimization of drilling methodology, rainwater collection tanks, etc.
Grant funding for the beneficiaries of Measure 5.1 of the Rural Development Program (RDP 2014-2021) for the implementation of investment projects aimed at reducing the adverse effects of possible natural phenomena, adverse weather conditions and catastrophic events (eg anti-hail networks, anti-rain tarps, etc.).
