
The future of privatizations is included in the revised Asset Development Plan (ADP) of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund, which contains assets and public participations for utilization.
The revised ADP, which was approved on October 25 and published on November 12 in the Government Gazette, describes the current situation and the next steps for the most important assets of the HRADF.
Hellenic Petroleum, EYDAP (Athens Water and Sewage), EYATH (Thessaloniki Water and Sewage): The ADP states that alternative development scenarios are being evaluated. Also for the underground natural gas storage in Kavala, it is emphasized that the submission of binding bids is expected in the second quarter of 2022.
Athens International Airport: In 2021, HRADF will evaluate the time of resumption of the tender for the sale of 30% of AIA (the state controls 55%), which was interrupted during the phase of binding offers due to the effects of the pandemic crisis in the aviation market .
Ports: The Fund is in the process of preparing for the sale of a majority stake in ports and / or a sub-concession. For the ports of Alexandroupolis, Igoumenitsa and Kavala it is reported that the binding offers are foreseen in the first quarter of 2022, while for Heraklion in the second quarter of 2022.
Afandou – Gournes: For the property in Afandou of Rhodes it is estimated that the financial closure will take place by the end of 2021, while for the “small Hellinikon” in Gournes the HRADF expects that the financial closure will take place by March 2022.
Egnatia Odos: Last August, the GEKTERNA-Aegis consortium became the preferred investor and the final draft of the Concession Agreement is expected to be approved by the Court of Auditors. Subsequently, the issuance of a JMC for the adjustment of tolls and the signing of the concession agreement.
Attiki Odos: The ADP emphasizes that the perimeter of the tender process will be determined by the end of 2021 and the start of the tender is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
DEPA Infrastructure – DEPA Commerce: The file is in the Court of Auditors while for DEPA Commerce it is stated that for reasons related to the smooth conduct of the tender process the HRADF decided in March 2021 to suspend the phase of submitting binding bids until the end of Q4 2021 and will inform the pre-selected investors about the next stages of the tender and the updated schedule.
Marinas: For Marina Pylos, the tender will start again by the end of the year, while for the marina of Kalamaria (Aretsou) binding offers are expected on February 24, 2022. At the same time, in Corfu, it is considering the possibility of utilizing the central port in the island capital for the berthing of 98 mega yachts and for a marina in Lefkimmi, in, southern Corfu (start of tender process in the first quarter of 2022). At the same time, the tenders are being prepared for the other marinas (Mykonos, Argostoli, Zakynthos, etc.)
