A new chapter opens today for ENGIE Hellas, after more than twenty years of leading presence in the field of real estate management (Facility Management) in Greece, according to a relevant announcement.
The SMERemediumCap investment fund acquired the share control of ENGIE Hellas with the aim of upgrading the company and the quality provision of integrated real estate management services.
At the same time, ENGIE Hellas has been renamed CORDIA.
The new shareholder of CORDIA, the investment fund SMERemediumCap, is staffed by an experienced investment team that focuses its investment interest mainly on medium-sized Greek manufacturing companies with strong growth prospects and recovery. The Investment Fund manages funds of 143 million euros from 42 institutional, corporate and private investors, including distinguished Greek and international institutional investors, pension funds, insurance companies and family investment offices. The Executive Chairman of the SMERemediumCap investment fund is Mr. Nikolaos Karamouzis.
CORDIA remains the preferred partner of the French company ENGIE in Greece, for international Facility Management contracts.
CORDIA (formerly Engie Hellas) has been active in our country since 2000 in the field of property management. At the end of 2020 it had a turnover of 20.4 million euros and more than 200 employees. Its main activities concern energy services, technical maintenance, electrification, installation of photovoltaic systems, IoT solutions and cleaning and maintenance of buildings through affiliated or partner companies. Its client portfolio includes long-term collaborations related to the overall management and maintenance of many important one-stop shop facilities, such as those of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), the McArthurGlen discount village, the Bank’s data center, etc.
The business vision
On the occasion of the change of the shareholder composition and the renaming of the company to CORDIA, Mr. Nikos Karamouzis, President of the investment fund SMERemediumCap (SMERC), which now owns almost all the shares of CORDIA, said:
