Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday afternoon spoke with the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, for talks revolving on the strategic level of relations between Greece and the UAE.
Mitsotakis had visited the influential Gulf state in November 2020 for the signing of a Joint Declaration of Strategic Partnership between Greece and the UAE, and the bilateral Agreement in the fields of foreign policy and defense.
According to the Greek side, Mitsotakis congratulated the Abu Dhabi crown prince on the occasion of UAE’s national holiday, marking the 50-year anniversary of its foundation, while also extending an invitation to visit Greece.
The same reports state that Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan accepted the invitation, with details to be announced in the coming period.
