The deputy Minister for Development and Investment Christos Dimas is meeting with academics, researchers, students and representatives of spin-off companies and start-ups in Boston. The aim of his contacts is to create “communication bridges” with the Greek innovation ecosystem.

As the deputy Minister wrote on social media:

“Today I visited the Campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with Consul Stratos Efthymiou, where we were guided by Nikos Andrikogiannopoulos (MIT), founder of Metrika.

With MIT Campus in Kendall Square as its center, academics, researchers, students, spin-off companies, start-ups and large companies have built, within a few miles, an impressively interactive innovation ecosystem in which many of the ideas are created. of the future.

The presence of “talented” Greeks in the Boston innovation ecosystem is important.

The purpose of our visit here is to study best practices, to build “bridges of communication” with Greece and in particular the innovation ecosystem.

The Greek element at MIT can be observed even in its infrastructure. In one of the main entrances dominates the imposing inscription with the name of the philosopher Aristotle, while inside the building there are columns in almost every space “.
