
The TITAN Group has been recognized by the CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, as one of the world’s leading companies in tackling climate change, based on transparency in the disclosure of its environmental data and its actions towards a carbon-neutral economy. Coal Emissions).
The “A-” rating ranks the TITAN Group in the top 15% of all companies with published data worldwide and among the five (out of a total of 27) cement companies that have achieved a corresponding rating for 2021. The companies recognized by the CDP as leaders are a model for the completeness of their published environmental data, risk identification and management, strong governance and the implementation of best practices.
In 2021, the TITAN Group raised the bar even higher, as it became one of the first cement companies in the world whose CO2 emission reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, as compatible with the reduction levels required for achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
In addition, Titan signed the Business Ambition for 1.5 ° C Commitment, led by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the We Mean Business Alliance, to hold global warming to 1.5 ° C and zero (clean) carbon emissions by 2050.
By signing this Commitment, Titan also participates in the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) global “Race to Zero” campaign, which aims to encourage more and more companies, governments and financial and educational institutions to work together and take action for a healthier planet with zero carbon emissions.
