
Another severe winter storm front, this one christened “Carmel”, will generate heavy rainfall, snowfall in the highlands and gale-force winds on the seas around Greece over the coming weekend.
Snowfall is expected along the eastern side of the Greek mainland, heavier in the mountains, central Evia island and as far south as Crete.
Disruption of ferry boat routes is also more than likely, as 8 to 9 on the Beaufort winds are forecast.
