
An entertainment center in Efkarpia, Thessaloniki was transformed into a makeshift bouzouki joint, where dozens of patrons celebrated New Year’s Eve in the toilets.
A video that has gone viral on social media reveals that although the store looked empty, the frenzied party was set up in the basement, outside the restrooms.
Drinks flowed profusely, the music was loud and everyone was having lots of fun. “We celebrate you all… a normal New Year!” writes in the caption of the user who uploaded the video to TikTok and then shared it on Twitter.

The Hellenic Police, after an investigation, arrested two people, a 27-year-old man, who uploaded the video on social media and the 22-year-old manager of the store. The authorities also imposed a fine of 5,000 euros and a 15-day suspension of the store for non-compliance with the measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
A fine of a corresponding amount and suspension of operation in a cafeteria in the center of Thessaloniki, was also imposed in the early hours of Sunday, while the 39-year-old owner was arrested, for operating his business after midnight, violating the new measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
