Ms. Pagoni, however, for her part, expressed the view that schools can and should be opened normally with a change in operating protocols for tests and personal protection measures, noting that it is not possible to keep children locked inside homes.
As she said, it is not possible for the children to stay closed in homes, they will come in contact with friends, their parents will go to work while they will continue to take private lessons at home.
She added that nowhere in the world were schools closed due to Omicron’s new pandemic wave.
The president of EINAP warned that a large number of cases are expected in the near future and that the peak is expected around 12 to 15 January.
