
The announcement of the 12th National Competition for the creation of Ecological – Innovative Food Products, ECOTROPHELIA 2022, was announced by the Association of Greek Food and Beverage Industries (SEVT).
The competition, which started in 2011 and has since won significant national and European distinctions, is aimed at students who are invited to participate in the National Competition again this year, to present their innovative ideas and stand out, creating innovative food products.
The purpose of the competition is on the one hand to support young Greek students, who are engaged in food science and on the other hand to promote their potential and creative spirit, being a breeding ground for innovative ideas for Industry.
The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students of higher educational institutions and research institutes of the country, who are invited to create a food product, which will definitely present elements of ecological innovation and which will be put to a taste test by the National Testing Committee. .
Includes 5 awards:
· The Gold Prize with a cash prize of € 1,500
· The Silver prize with a cash prize, worth € 1,000
· The Bronze prize with a cash prize, worth 800 €
· The Best Presentation Award, worth € 500
· The Best Marketing & Marketing Plan Award, worth € 500
The winning team of the National Competition will participate in the second phase of the European Competition ECOTROPHELIA 2022, which will take place next autumn. The European Competition will be attended by all the winning teams of European countries that have emerged at national level.
The deadlines for participation in the National Competition are:
· Friday, April 1, 2022: Submission of Participation Form
· Friday, June 3, 2022: Submission of a Detailed Technical File.
The evaluation of the competing products and the Award Ceremony of the winners will take place in Athens, on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
The submission of proposals is done electronically.
