However, the name Hilton, the American multinational luxury hotel management chain will give it to the historic Pentelikon of Kifissia and the former Hotel Mistral in Kastella, which will operate overlooking the Mikrolimano of Piraeus.
Investments in the two hotels
The opening of the two hotels will be done in collaboration with the expatriate Venezuelan businessman Theodoros Douzoglou, owner of the specific properties. It is noted that the businessman included these two properties in his investment “vehicle” SCD Group LTD in 2018, in the context of the benefits of the development law.
Pentelikon, which will join the Hilton Curio chain, is expected to reopen its gates in 2024. An investment of 18 million euros will be implemented in Pentelikon. The 117 rooms of the hotel will include 13 suites, while it will have a gym, spa, indoor and outdoor pool and three meeting rooms.
Hampton by Hilton Piraeus in Mikrolimano will be an 83 room hotel. The property of Kastella will be renovated at a cost of 5.5 million euros and will operate, among others, four meeting rooms with a total area of 120 square meters and an outdoor pool.
Piraeus has changed page
On the occasion of the creation of a new hotel, the mayor Giannis Moralis said that the opening of Hampton by Hilton Piraeus Mikrolimano is more good news for the city.
“Piraeus is now in the center of investment interest,” said the mayor of the city Giannis Moralis
“This is a new private investment of 5.5 million euros, in one of the most traditional hotels in Piraeus, Mistral, which will be completely renovated and from the spring of 2024 will operate as Hampton by Hilton Piraeus Mikrolimano. I am very glad that our city was chosen by a leading international company such as Hilton in collaboration with the SCD LTD Group, in order to open a modern, luxurious urban hotel, in one of the most beautiful parts of Piraeus, in Kastella.”
Mr. Moralis pointed out that last week he met with the shareholder of SCD Group LTD Mr. Douzoglou, who informed him about this important investment.
The mayor of Piraeus characteristically noted in his post that obviously the fact that Piraeus is now in the center of investment interest and is progressing day by day, both with the flagship projects that are completed and with investments that bring new development opportunities, contributed catalytically to this choice. in town.
