These areas are the peak of the Greek presence in the Expo 2020 Dubai exhibition, where Greece participates with the slogan “Greece Tomorrow, Today” and highlights its competitive advantages that put it back on the investment map.
This includes the visit to Expo 2020 Dubai by the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, in charge of Research and Innovation, Christos Dimas, who was the host of an event held at the exhibition, on “Elevating Science, Technology & Innovation.”
The event, which took place at the Terra Auditorium, was attended by 15 up-and-coming startups, members of Elevate Greece, 7 research centers and representatives of the technology park “Thess Intec.
Mr. Christos Dimas during the event stated: “The Greek ecosystem of research and innovation has recently acquired a particularly extroverted dynamic. For the first time, a Greek business, research and scientific mission of the Greek State is visiting the United Arab Emirates. The purpose of our visit here is the extroversion of the Greek ecosystem, the deepening of our cooperation, investments, the exchange of ideas and the study of best practices on issues related to the development of innovation ecosystems and research activity. The Greek delegation consists of 15 start-ups of Elevate Greece, 7 Research Centers and the 4th Generation Technology Park ThessINTEC. ”

It is noted that the Undersecretary Mr. Dimas is the head of a business and scientific mission, which visits the United Arab Emirates in order to promote cooperation and investment and to present the dynamics of the Greek ecosystem of innovation and technology. The mission is in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Enterprise Greece, the Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai Office of Economic and Commercial Affairs.
It is reminded that Expo 2020 Dubai will last until March 31, 2022 and Enterprise Greece is responsible for the Greek participation.
