
The public health providers and the Units / Departments that have been pre-selected for support in the fourth cycle of the program “Partnership for Health” for the year 2022, a joint initiative of the Public Benefit Foundation Ioannis S. Latsis and the Non-Profit of Hellenic Shipping SYN-ENOSIS.
The Program is implemented from 2018 on an annual basis and concerns the financing of small and medium scale projects aimed at upgrading services and meeting the urgent needs of public health providers through the supply of medical equipment and the upgrade of their infrastructure.
Taking into account the particularly increased needs of health care providers in children and newborns, the Program aims for the second consecutive year to upgrade Pediatric Clinics and Clinics, as well as the Neonatology Departments of Public Hospitals and Health Centers across the country.
The following are the recipients for the year 2022:
• University General Hospital “ATTIKON” – Renovation of premises and supply of equipment in order to upgrade the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,
• University General Hospital of Ioannina – Supply of medical equipment in order to upgrade the Neonatology Clinic,
• General Hospital of Kavala – Supply of medical equipment in order to upgrade the Premature Newborn Unit of the Pediatric Clinic,
• University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis – Renovation of premises and supply of equipment in order to upgrade the Pediatric Surgery Wing,
• General Hospital “VENIZELIO-PANANEIO” Heraklion Crete – Supply of medical equipment in order to upgrade the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,
• General Hospital of Florina – Supply of medical equipment in order to upgrade the Pediatric Clinic,
• Mantoudi Health Center of Evia – Renovation of premises and supply of equipment in order to upgrade the Department of Pediatric Emergency.
The Latsis Foundation and SYN-ENOSIS fund and implement initiatives that aim at the most effective response to modern social needs. One such initiative is the synergy of the two bodies in the framework of the “Partnership for Health” Program, which focuses on the key area of public health and confirms their commitment to social contribution.
