Administrative fines totaling 120,340 euros were imposed, by decision of the Minister of Development & Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiadis, on two supermarket chains.
Specifically, fines of 86,340 euros were imposed on one and 34,000 euros on the second, because in audits carried out by auditors of the Inter-Service Market Control Unit (DIMEA) it was found that they were selling with a higher gross profit margin in violation of Article 21 (par. 4b) of 20 / 3/2020 Legislative Content Act (Government Gazette A ’68) “Urgent measures to address the consequences of the risk of spread of Covid-19 coronavirus, to support society and entrepreneurship and to ensure the smooth operation of the market and public administration” .
It is pointed out that the publication of the names of the companies, to which administrative fines are imposed for reasons of scandal, will begin immediately after the adoption of a relevant legislative regulation by the Greek Parliament.
