A union representing dock workers at the container port (SEP) in Piraeus announced a latest round of industrial actions, beginning at midnight n the first hours of Friday.
The union, ENEDEP, said the strike will continue at piers II and III until the management of the Port of Piraeus accepts workers’ demands.
The strike was called after an early morning workplace accident at the port, when a worker fell 12 meters from a vessel after the railing failed.
The man was immediately transported to a local private hospital, where he was out of danger and remained only for observation.
