
Greece remains at the top of Europe regarding the Management of Waste Lubricating Oils for 2021.
According to the National Collective System of Alternative Management of Waste Lubricating Oils of ENDIALE SA , our country exceeded the national goals for another year.
In particular, in 2021, 25,952 tons of lubricating oil was collected, out of the total of 36,720 tons that are estimated to have been produced, ie 71% (national target 70%).
Above the national target
In addition, 100% of the collected lubricant waste led to regeneration, with significant benefits for the environment, public health and the national economy, which were presented in detail.
It is noted that this performance exceeds the national target by 20% (regeneration by 80%) and by 40% the corresponding European average (61.2%).
Encouraging citizens to recycle
The CEO of ENDIALE, Mr. George Deligiorgis, stated in this regard:
“We are particularly pleased to announce the results of the National Collective System for Alternative Waste Management of ENDIALE SA. for 2021, which certify the oversupply of collection and regeneration targets, maintaining the “first” among all the respective systems of Europe. Being at the top of Europe is a great achievement. But staying on top of this over time makes it even more successful.
Congratulations to all the protagonists. The 40,000 cooperating collection points, the collection companies, the utilizers of the regeneration units as well as the ENDIALE executives who contribute to this best practice of Circular Economy. This is undoubtedly a success that is recognized as a European model that has a Greek identity.
But nothing important and big happens if it is not embraced by the citizens themselves. That is why we encourage them to continue to look for collection points that are now certified with the special mark of ENDIALE to recycle their car lubricants there.
