Visitors to the country’s museums in January 2022 amounted to 51,166 people, free admission visitors to 39,122 people and receipts to 272,876 euros, according to ELSTAT data.
It should be noted that in January the country’s museums operated normally, in contrast to the corresponding month of 2021, during which they did not operate in the implementation of measures to address the pandemic.

In terms of the absolute number of visitors, the reins are held by the Acropolis Museum, followed by the National Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Ancient Olympia. While in the archeological sites, the Acropolis, Sounio and Delphi had the most visitors.
