
The Competition Commission has started the twinning program with the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The official launch ceremony of the Twinning program “Renforcement des capacités institutionnelles du Conseil de la Concurrence” with the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco (“Conseil de la Concurrence du Royaume du Moroc”) was recently held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.
According to an announcement by the Competition Commission, co-organized by the Hellenic Competition Commission, the Competition Authorities of Poland and Italy and the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the auspices of the European Union, a training program was held for competition law, mainly aimed at lawyers and organizations operating in Morocco.
The program
The training program included presentations of Competition Authority cases and a discussion on key and current competition issues that concern both the Authorities and the institutions and companies. The ceremony was attended by, among others, the ambassadors of Greece, Poland and a representative of the embassy of Italy.
After a presentation of the manufacturers’ case, the chairman of the Competition Commission, Giannis Lianos, analyzed the role of lawyers in the various stages of implementation of competition law, discussing Greek and European case law and practice.
