Apartment prices rose sharply in the first quarter of 2022.
According to the official data of the Bank of Greece, in the first quarter of 2022, the annual rate of change of apartment prices for the whole country was 8.6%.
Also, based on the age of the property, the annual rate of change in the prices of new apartments was at 10.3% and of old ones at 7.4%.
Also, based on the geographical location, the annual rate of change in apartment prices was 9.7% in Athens, 8.3% in Thessaloniki, 8.2% in other major cities and 6.4% in other parts of the country.
In particular, based on the available provisional data, it is estimated that in the first quarter of 2022 apartment prices (in nominal terms) increased on average by 8.6% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2021. For 2021, the Apartment prices increased at an average annual rate of 7.4% (revised figures), compared to an increase of 4.5% in 2020.
