Scandinavian chain home goods JYSK further expanded its network of stores in the Greek market, as its planning the opening of the new JYSK store in Ptolemaida, next Thursday, 23 June.
JYSK opened its first store in Athens in September 2015. With the new store in Ptolemaida it will now operate 50 physical stores in Greece. At the same time, the online JYSK.gr store is in operation, which acted as an important pillar of development during the difficult period of the pandemic and continues to participate with a percentage of over 10% in company total turnover.
The JYSK network envisages a nationwide network with over 70 stores. Simultaneously with the opening of new stores, JYSK is proceeding with the renovation of all stores that opened before 2018 based on the new concept that it is implementing globally.
It is noted that in the next two months, four more JYSK stores will be opened in areas of Greece that do not currently have a store. This is another step towards JYSK’s strategic decision to come close to its customers, many of whom have only met through online shopping but will soon be able to enjoy the shopping experience at a physical JYSK store.
JYSK is an international chain of stores with Scandinavian roots, which sells everything for the home. The first store opened in Denmark in 1979 and today JYSK has over 3,100 stores and 28,500 employees in 49 countries. JYSK is owned by the Lars Larsen Group, which includes several companies with a total annual turnover of € 5.255 billion. JYSK’s turnover amounts to 4.4 billion euros.
