
We are the first country to receiv money from the NSRF in 2022, stressed the Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis, speaking to OT FORUM 2 – Meta Living, adding that the next tranche for Greece is about 6 months away.
Mr. Georgiadis stressed that Greece was first in absorbing NSRF fund, with the second country being six months behind, while on average other countries are a year behind Greece.
Of these funds about 1/3 of the funds, around 7-8 billion euros, will go to digital transformation, talking about.
As Mr. Georgiadis noted “digital is the second priority for the NSRF, after the environment”.
According to Mr. Georgiadis, it is very important that Greece will disburse money within 2022.
On the part of innovation, the Minister of Development and Investment, stressed that starting this September, “smart cities” programs will begin in municipalities. “We will give mayors the resources to choose the programs they want for the digital transformation,” added the Minister.
