Greek Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias is attending the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano, Switzerland, on Monday.
“I am visiting Lugano to represent the Greek Prime Minister at the Conference organised by the Swiss Government for the recovery of Ukraine,” Dendias tweeted.
He added that “Greece’s position is always clear. It supports international legality, International Law, territorial integrity, good neighbourly relations and human rights.”
“And also,” he added in a second tweet, “I am here to reiterate Prime Minister Mitsotakis’ promise that, when international legality is restored, Greece will rebuild the facilities of the maternity hospital in Mariupol. And it will do everything it can to assist the Greek minority in the areas that have been affected.”
Dendias also met with Liechtenstein counterpart Dominique Hasler on the margins of the Lugano conference, which is “an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations, Greece UNSC candidacy for 2025-2026 and situation in Ukraine following Russian invasion,” Dendias wrote in another tweet.
