
The Directorate of Economic Police carried out spot checks and audits in food service and entertainment shops in Santorini, between July 7-9, 2022.
Specifically, during the checks for compliance with the insurance, labor and tax legislation, violations were confirmed in 8 stores, of which one was suspended for 48 hours.
In particular, during the checks it was found:
– A beverage service business did not issue receipts for 17 sales and the issuance retail transactions “receipts” from 4 machines that did not declare tax while in addition 5 employees were employed, who were not registered in the personnel tables, 2 employees were working beyond declared working days and 4 employees beyond stated working hours,
– A restaurant – cafe did not issue 2 receipts and employed 3 workers who were not registered in the staff tables, while 2 workers beyond stated working hours,
– An entertainment venue did not issue 10 receipts and employed 2 workers outside of stated working days,
–A cafe-bar employed 2 workers beyond stated working days,
– A restaurant did not issue 8 receipts and employed 7 workers beyond stated working days,
– A cafe – restaurant did not issue a receipt and was employing 2 persons beyond stated working days and 3 employees beyond stated working hours,
– A cafeteria – restaurant was employing 3 workers beyond stated working days and 2 workers beyond stated working hours and
– A cafeteria – snack bar was employing 3 employees beyond stated of working days.
For all cases, the competent state services were informed for the imposition of the corresponding administrative sanctions.
