Greece features as first on Airbnb’s list of destinations in Europe for the third “golden” quarter of 2022, up by an eyebrow-raising 26.5 percent from the banner third quarter of 2019.
According to figures supplied by AirDNA, over the July-September 2022 period, Greece records the biggest increase in terms of demand in Europe, with Germany, Austria and France.
Additionally, demand in Europe has returned to pre-Covid numbers, with overnight stays in the first half of the year increased by 7.2 percent, compared to the same period of 2019. Compared to H1 2021, the increase is 67.5 percent.
