
In checks carried out by the Interdepartmental Market Control Unit (D.I.M.E.A.), on July 28 and 29, in Lefkada, 6,000 pieces of counterfeit clothing, bags, watches and other accessories bearing logos and insignia major international brands were identified, seized and destroyed.
Fines of 37,000 euros were imposed for the marketing and distribution of counterfeit goods.
Controls continue throughout Greece.
